Hi! We are LEAFY, your local Edinburgh microgreens grower based in Leith.

Our vertical farm is a small direct-to-community farm that offers free home deliveries or click and collect in Edinburgh. We can also supply wholesale locally.

We grow nutrient-dense beautiful edible microgreens, micro herbs and micro shoots.

UPDATE: from January 2026 due to changing premises we are offering only winter specials (mixed or single crop) including red cabbage, Tuscan kale, radish varieties, rocket and mizuna. We hope to restart broccoli single crop and pea and sunflower shoots soon.

Our crops are grown especially for each customer, whether retail or wholesale, one-off purchase or a weekly subscription. Sometimes we will have surplus for immediate delivery.

You can also buy Leafy products mid week at the Earth in Common Farmshop in the Populus Cafe, 4a John’s Place, Edinburg or try our micro radish on tasty brunches at The Old Spence Café, Queen Charlotte Street. This Spring our mix will feature in a wonderful salad at Embo Deli, 29 Haddington Place.

How we grow: The farm uses recyclable coconut coir or peat-free soil, minimal water and renewable energy. We do not use chemical fertiliser. Our packaging is made from recycled plastic & can be recycled again after use. Our grower Susie Kemp will take personal care of your crop from seed to delivery.

What are Microgreens?

Microgreens are the earliest stage of a vegetable plant’s development after the sprouting stage. They are “living foods” – purposefully used in their most nutritious and delicious state.

If we have surplus crops we may be able to deliver right away. Our usual process though is that we sow seeds especially for your order and then arrange a delivery date. Crops are currently taking around 12-15 days from sowing to delivery. If you want to try first we can provide a free sample!
